2013: Zero To Waste Glass

Tens of thousands of people will be cheering up the New Year at LKF/Soho and Wanchai. After the toast, thousands of wine bottles are left behind. Some of them thrown on the roadside and some wrapped into refuse bags. Thanks to the street cleaners and refuse collectors. They are the one to clean up our “waste”. However without glass recycling policy, 95% of waste glass is dumped into landfills.

Please move up for zero waste glass because glass is 100% recyclable and HK has our own eco-brick manufactories.

Let’s act from the very first day of 2013 by clearing the New Year Eve wine bottles at LKF/Soho and Wanchai to save glass bottles and tell the bar patrons/operators and HK people that, “Glass is NOT a waste but 100% recyclable and useful."

2013 New Year Glass Action

LKF (Hard Rock) 5:00am (Pl bring along with a marketing trolley for easier pick up)

Wanchai (Lockhart Rd and Luard Rd junction) 6:00am (it is OK if arrive at 6:30am or 7:00am)

If not enough volunteers for 2 bar spots, we will opt for Wanchai and skip LKF.

Enroll now here or email to info@greenglass.org.hk. Your move counts for the action.
